Student Sport Executive
The Team Durham Student Sport Executive is overseen by the Team Durham Steering Group, which is chaired by the Director of Sport. In conjunction with full time staff the Student Sport Executive is in place to develop, organise and administrate sport at all levels within the University.
The Executive consists of current students and a sabbatical officer who has graduated from Durham University. All of the officers are in office for a period of twelve months. Each officer has a specific remit and they work with the President to ensure the continued development of all aspects of the sports programme.

Sabbatical President - Katherine Henderson

The President oversees all aspects of student sport from individuals representing BUCS at international events to the College Sports programme which sees the Colleges within Durham compete against each other on a regular basis. The President works closely with the Director of Sport, his staff, and the Student Sport Executive Committee to ensure that sport continues to develop and run smoothly.
Kat is an international triathlete and has also represented the university at hockey during her undergraduate career.
College Sport Manager - Rosie Jackson

The College Sport Manager oversees the day to day running and development of the College Sport (intra-mural) programme. The role includes managing leagues, organising coaching and umpiring courses and working closely with the President and full time Team Durham staff to develop the College Sports programme.
Rosie is a university tennis player and is in her second year at Durham studying Biology.
Treasurer - Peter Hannapel

The Student Treasurer works with the President to oversee the finances of the student sport programme including the allocation of club grants and the funding of the BUCS programme.
Pete is a postgraduate student from North America and is part of the men's lacrosse programme at Durham University. He is studying an MA in Financial Management.
College Rugby Secretary - Veryan Boscawen

Veryan overseas the College Rugby programme, including the day to day management of the Durham University Rugby Referees Society. Veryan referees at a high level, officiating throughout the County. Veryan is studying Economics.
