In order for alumni to take a bigger role in the future of their sporting family many of the clubs have 'Alumni Friends' groups. The Chair's of the Groups form the Alumni Steering Group and meet at least four times a year in London with the Director of Sport and the Fundraising and Sponsorship Officer to discuss the ongoing development of Durham University Sport, and issues directly related to individual clubs.
