College Rugby
College Rugby Referees Society
Ever thought of being a referee? Now is your chance!
The Durham University Referees Society is one of only two University Societies in the country, and is linked to the Durham County RFU Referees Society. The Society allows us to qualify officials and then get them officiating in YOUR matches. However it is much more than that. The link with Durham County means that our newly qualified referees can get support and tutoring from those more experienced, and this is an invaluable tool.
As we all know, we always need referees in order for matches to take place, but the only way to ensure that our matches are covered is to ensure that enough students have taken the time to get qualified.
If you would like to become a qualified referee or get involved in the organisational side of the Committee, please contact Veryan Boscawen who is the current co-ordinator on: v.j.h.boscawen@dur.ac.uk.
