College Fixtures Played At Queens Campus: Rules and Regulations
In recent years a number of sides have failed to honour their fixture commitments when they are required to travel to Queens Campus.
This is clearly unacceptable as a commitment to travel to Queens Campus is simply part of the commitment that a team makes when they enter a Team Durham league. This is also put into perspective when the continued endeavour of John Snow and George Stephenson is considered, with their teams travelling to Durham on a weekly basis.
In reaction to growing concerns surrounding teams travelling to Queens Campus, the following procedures have been agreed by the Team Durham Board:
a) If a team is unable to travel to Queens Campus the away team MUST notify the Queens Campus home team at least 72 hours in advance of the fixture. This must be done via email, and the Team Durham Student President MUST be copied into the correspondence at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
b) Any team failing to honour their fixture at Queens Campus for whatever circumstance will automatically be docked 6 points from their league total. This deduction will be non-negotiable, and the penalty will be implemented even if point ‘a' has been carried out.
c) Any team failing to fulfil their Queens Campus fixture, but also failing to carry out point ‘a' will be penalised in the following way:
- Will be charged the full price for the hire of the external facility.
- Will automatically be docked 9 points from their league total.
