Major Fundraising Events
The Rugby Charity Challenge has taken place for the past six years, and is always a major fundraiser. The event involves Durham University 1st XV taking on a BUCS Northern Premier League side in a BUCS league fixture. The aim each year is to get 5,000 people to watch the game. If this was achieved it would be the largest crowd outside of Twickenham or the Zurich Premiership in the history of the English game. Although we have attracted over 4,000 people on three occasions, we have not yet reached our target! The Rugby Charity Challenge raises over £4,000 for Sport in Action Zambia on an annual basis. Date: Wednesday November 25th
