The Vision: A day in the life ..... Centre for Life!
- 8am Make an early start with a pre-work run / jog around the river and barrage or, Try a work out in the fitness suite and then meet for breakfast in the Healthy Eating Restaurant and watch the college crews row by.
- 9am Check out your health and fitness with our staff. Plan a personalised activity session or, Set off on the cycle trail around the barrage or, warm up for the first hockey session of the day.
- 10am Step out for a walk on the walking trail. Sit in a healthy eating seminar or take the children to a soft play session and then join the parents in the hall for an aerobic session.
- 11am Try out table tennis or consult one of our resident physiologists, nutritionist or sports psychologist.
- 12am Play football, netball, basketball or, take your exercise programme to the city sports centre closest to home.
- 1pm Plan the seasons fixtures over lunch at the Healthy Eating Restaurant or meet friends in the fitness suite and learn how to use free weights.
- 2pm Try circuit training for boat crews or, work out team tactics on a top quality astro-turf surface. Meet visiting corporate delegations and children from local schools.
- 3pm Take part in a Northern Hockey Forum training session or improve your volleyball skills.
- 4pm Bring the children to junior gymnastics. Take the under-11s to after-school sports training. Seek advice from our sports injuries clinic.
- 5pm Take up a new sport or a new challenge.
- 6pm Unwind with an early evening yoga, tai chi session. Get river fit and walk over to the RTWC for some early evening rowing.
- 7pm Watch a university hockey match on the floodlit all-weather pitch. And then relive the highlights over dinner in the Healthy Eating Restaurant.
- 8pm Meet the experts for an update on your fitness levels, check you progress, diet and then update your programme.
- 9pm Book a late badminton session or end the day with a late aerobics session.
