Women's Basketball make the Final Four of WBBL Trophy

(18 February 2019)

The Durham Palatinates made history on Saturday, reaching the semi-final of a major national club event for the first time.

Having beaten Caledonia Pride last weekend in the “home leg”, Durham knew that a further victory would see them top their group and progress to the Final Four at the expense of local rivals Newcastle Eagles.
But view would have predicted the nature of the win with the Palatinates recording their largest margin of victory thus far in the WBBL - final score:
Caledonia Pride: 58 - Durham Palatinates: 93
The semi-final, which is a straight one off fixture, will see the Palatinates host Sheffield Hatters at Queen’s Campus on Sunday February 24th. Time TBC
The final will be hosted at the Emirates Arena (Glasgow) on Sunday March 10th.
