Success for Lacrosse Teams at 8’s Championships

(2 April 2019)

38 University Lacrosse teams competed for the England Lacrosse and BUCS 8’s title on Sunday 31st March at Coombe Dingle, Bristol. The games started at 10:30 with the final scheduled for 4:30pm.

After their success at the BUCS final on March 27th, the women’s team made it to the semi-finals, beating Exeter on route but sadly, were knocked out by a strong Nottingham outfit.

The men’s side, beat Cardiff in the quarters and went on to compete against Nottingham Trent, who they had just triumphed against to take BUCS gold the previous Wednesday. Showing strength and endurance, the outcome was a success and they went on to face and defeat University of Nottingham in the final to take the Championship.

This is a great achievement for both our Lacrosse Teams, with special mention to the Men for winning the league, the BUCS title and the 8’s title.
