Durham University Students represent GB at the Ultimate World Championships

(31 July 2019)

It's been a big summer for the ultimate frisbee players of Durham this year.

Current DUF players, Sarah Ladd and Lizzie Plasom-Scott, along with alumni Dylan Spiers and Kat Rowland, have spent a week of their summer in Germany representing Great Britain at the Under 24 World Championships.

They all played fanatically well with impressive finishes of 13th in the mixed division and 8th in the women's division. This adds to the success 4 weeks ago of PhD student Steve Gilman, and alumnus and DUF coach Alexis Long who won gold medals for Great Britain men's senior team at European Championships in Hungary.
