Mini Mud Run 2016

We were joined again by County Durham Fire Service who helped us with our water slide and ran demonstrations in the river as part of their drowning prevention awareness campaign. We wer also joined by County Durham Police who brought along their quad bike and the Safe City Bear to join the fun!
On the day registration will open at 9:45am with our first runners setting off at 10am. If you’ll be travelling by car there will be some free car parking available at Maiden Castle. Registration will close around 1:30pm with our Mud Run closing at 2pm, so make sure you leave plenty time to get around the course. We will also have activities for the whole family running until 2pm in our Play Zone and Fairground along with an ice cream stall and popcorn stand so why not make a day of it and bring along your picnic blanket!

The run is suitable for children aged 4+ and this year we have a course extension for children aged 8+. Parents are encouraged to supervise children running the course and whilst the obstacle course will be fully marshalled, parents and guardians remain responsible for ensuring that children are supervised at all times.
A Day Pass for the event costs £10 per child and includes entry to the Mud Run, an exclusive t-shirt, entry to the Play Zone and tokens for some of our fairground attractions. Entry to the mud run alone will cost £2.
All profits from the day will be donated to Sport in Action Zambia and the Royal Air Force Air Cadets so don’t forget to share our event with your family and friends, it’s definitely one not to be missed!
