Junior Development Camp

Following on from the success of our Learn to Row Camps, we now offer a 5 day camp for Juniors aged 11-16 with some experience of the sport. The focus of the week will be on improving confidence and technique on the water in all boat types; progressing to a single scull regatta at the end of the week.

Programme Information

Based on the River Wear and using our state of the art indoor rowing tank and ergo gallery, this camp will primarily be in 2x's and 4x's with some of the group also in 1x's. The Junior Development Camp includes technical and video analysis by our world class coaching team and social activities such as an early evening BBQ cruise.

All equipment will be provided, including lifejackets where necessary. There are both residential and non-residential options available for this camp which is based at the DUBC Boat House on the River Wear at Maiden Castle Sports Centre. The residential option available for this camp includes fully catered accommodation in one of our University colleges with participants staying in single rooms and supervised by our team of residential mentors througout their time with us.

Dates and Pricing

The camp will be taking place from Monday 24th to Friday 28th July 2017 and costs £480 (Residential) or £250 (Non-Residential) per particpant.
