Durham University Women's Association Football Club (DUWAFC) is coming off the back of its most successful season ever!

Our first team remained unbeaten to claim the Northern Premiership title for the 5th consecutive year and topped it off by beating Northumbria 4-3 in the BUCS National Championship final.

Our second team brought more silverware back to Durham with a Northern Conference Cup Gold after a 3-0 victory over Northumbria 2s.

Our third team posted a second place finish in their league - their highest ever position.

About The Program:

Our teams provide players of different abilities with the opportunity to train in a professional environment and compete amongst some of the best university teams around Britain. Our women's football programme doesn't stop there as the college sports programme provides an opportunity for players to participate and improve skills which they can bring into the university set up. A number of players have made the step up from college level to university level which is a true testament to the quality of women's football here at Durham.

We have a futsal programme that runs in parallel with the football season, consisting of 4 teams playing in a round robin tournament throughout the year. Our 1st team also play in the Northern Premiership, and have consistently made it far in the competition, and our 2nd team have been in the final twice in the past three years.

As a club, DUWAFC benefits from an excellent partnership with WSL2 side Durham Wildcats, with a high number of our club members representing both teams and benefiting from excellent coaching from both sides.

We carry out 2-4 technical sessions a week, and 1-2 strength and conditioning sessions supervised by our highly qualified Team Durham staff. We also benefit from further classroom tactical, nutritional and psychological sessions which, when paired with the wonderful faciliaties at Team Durham's Graham Sports Centre and dedicated coaches, instructors and support staff, create the recipe for our success!
