Downhill Mountain Bike Success for Cranston

Over the days of April 18th and 19th, nearly 250 riders descended upon BikePark Wales for the 2018 BUCS Downhill Mountain Biking Championships. Six of those riders were from Durham, namely; Thomas Collier-Taylor, Josh Leigh, Max Davis, Matthew Fossett, Charlie Cranston and Mari Cole.

Durham University Cycling Club started the year in exciting fashion securing strong team finishes in both the men's and women's competition whilst there was even greater success in the individual category.

BUCS Results- 26th November

This week saw fantastic BUCS results across the board with teams excelling in league and cup fixtures. In the Premier North games Durham secured their best results of the season with fourteen wins, two draws and just one loss this week. This included wins in men's and women's football, women's hockey, men's and women's lacrosse, women's badminton, men's and women's rugby union, men's tennis, men's and women's volleyball, men's fencing and men's and women's basketball. Meanwhile in the cup competition 26 teams progressed into the quarter final stage of the BUCS Trophy and Northern Conference Cup competitions.
